It's always strange to introduce a brand new blog; in fact, it's mildly terrifying. Especially since it's on a blogspot, I feel like I need to step it up from usual livejournal speak. Part of me wants to pull a Carrie Bradshaw (the comparison is so blatantly obvious--journalista who adores shoes!), and another part of me wants to bore you with self indulgent tripe..but here it goes: hey there, I'm Tash, or as some people call me Golightly. I'm a second year journalism student who is also majoring in Contemporary Studies (affectionately known as CSP) at the University of Kings College (KIIIIIIIIIINNNNNGS!). This fall I'm going to be living in an awesome pad on the 16th floor, and I'm pretty excited to document the transition from Torontonian/Scarberian suburban brat to living on one of the main streets in Halifax. So I guess, welcome to my Holly Golightly-esque lifestyle (I FULLY intend to throw wild parties, have a cat and suffer from existential loneliness, btw)! I'm someone who LOVES anything related to the arts, fashion, history, journalism...okay, the list kind of goes on, but you get the drift--another one of your high school misfits turned "chic". Usually, I'm a bit more erudite, but right now, I'm kind of at a loss for words. So here's what to expect: tons of style (after all, it's mostly a "style" blog), kitchen witchery, my thoughts on books/music and a quirky protagonist who's pretty much going to dive head first into life.
